Hypothesis

Plow agriculture will be negatively associated with family size (261).

Note

Relationship remains significant at the 0.05 level when controlling for political complexity, social stratification, and urbanization. Distribution of large family sizes in complex agricultural societies in tropical Africa is significantly higher than in Asia and North Africa (p < 0.001, rho = 0.39).
