Evolutionary Anthropology Vol/Iss. 31(1) Wiley Periodicals Published In Pages: 45-59
By Cruz y Celis Peniche, Patricio

Hypothesis

Insect consumption will occur in human societies at variable rates.

Note

The authors examine 149 culture groups with information about insect consumption and found that entomophagy was present in 126 of them and absent in 23. The distribution of cultures that practice entomophagy was varied and not consistent even in neighboring communities.
