- Cultural religiosity moderates the relationship between being in love and subjective well-beingOlechowski, Mateusz - International Journal of Intercultural Relations, 2015 - 2 Hypotheses
Religiosity is often overlooked when it comes to assessing general well-being or the relationship between being in love and well-being. Building on theories in anthropology and psychology, this study fills in this gap in research in a cross-country analysis that could shed light on potential similar trends in small-scale societies as well. Finding that being in love was a weaker predictor of well-being in more religious cultures, researchers suggest that religiosity may affect the relationship between emotions and subjective well-being.
