Technology on the northwest coast: an analysis of overall similarities

Abstract

This paper presents a description and interpretation of the similarities of the precontact technologies of twenty-eight ethnic groups on the Northwest Coast of North America. Authors used smallest space analysis to search for patterns of technological similarities between groups and found that proximity accounts for much of the similarity.
