The plow, female contribution to agricultural subsistence and polygyny: a log linear analysis

Hypothesis

Controlling for the presence of the plow, there will be a relationship between degree of polygyny and female participation in crop-tending (280, 289).

Note

This hypothesis was supported when not accounting for regional variation in the three variables. Once regional variation was added to the model, there was no longer a significant association between the variables.
