Hypothesis
External conflict and violence will be positively associated with various structural and dispositional variables.

The following independent variables were determined to be significant: internal conflict and violence (p<.05), strength in cross-cutting ties in decentralized societies (p<.05), intercommunity marriage in decentralized societies (p<.001), harsh socialization practices (p<.05), affectionate socialization practices (p<.001), male gender identity conflict (p<.001). See pg. 554, Table 2 for multiple regression analysis.
