Sanctions regarding illegitimacy are associated with parent-child closeness (124).

No significant relationships are found. However, father-infant proximity is insignificantly negatively associated with illegitimacy sanctions (gamma = -0.28), and father-child proximity and general affection towards children are insignificantly positively associated with illegitimacy sanctions.
