Hypothesis

Agricultural economy types will be 'clustered' geographically. (115)

Note

Economic systems are not significantly grouped by geographic region. However, the author proposes that the increase in external trade, increase in wage labor outside the community, and decrease in slavery with increasing time after contact with the West is suggestive of cultural diffusion of economic systems over time.
