Higher social trust in a country is associated with stronger exclusionary attitudes.


This is explained by suggesting that social trust creates moral expectations, resulting in harsher attitudes towards those who do not meet these expectations. The 95% confidence interval suggests that this relationship exists (ρ = 0.57, 95% confidence interval = 0.19-0.81).
