Hypothesis
"If a particular sex does most of the work in subsistence activities, the pattern of residence should tend to localize consanguineally related members of that sex" (571)
Note
Hypothesis was also tested in 2x2 tables contrasting matrilocal versus other and patrilocal versus other, both were not significant and phi coefficients were .05 and .04, respectively.
