Hypothesis
Childhood familiarity theory predicts that small locally endogamous communities are more likely to prohibit first cousin marriage than large locally endogamous communities.
Note
In this case, average community size is being used as a proxy for childhood familiarity, i.e. cousins would be more familiar in smaller communities than they would be in larger communities.
