Hypothesis

In societies with ceremonies for one sex, girls' ceremonies (as opposed to boys) will be negatively associated with initiation prior to genital maturation, undergoing genital operation or experienceing same-sex bonding.

Note

Girls' ceremonies were positively associated with observing taboos and seclusion.
