Hypothesis
Population pressure, indicated by above-median population density for a given subsistence type, will be positively associated with warfare (27).
Note
Population pressure is associated with increased warfare for hunter-gatherer (p = 0.034) and agrarian societies (p = 0.066) but not horticulturalists.
