Hypothesis
Warfare frequency will be positively associated with resource problems (9).
Note
Threat of weather or pest disasters is the only variable that significantly predicts warfare frequency. Again, results are stronger in non-state societies. Previous findings suggest that a fear of unpredictable resource disasters may be associated with warfare frequency.
