Hypothesis

Violence against women will be positively associated with frequency of overall warfare. (1)

Note

Neither frequency of wife beating nor rape were significantly associated with overall warfare, and punishment for rape was significantly positively associated with overall warfare frequency (r = 0.49), in opposite of expected direction.
