Hypothesis

Dependence on root crops will be associated with increased female contribution to agriculture.

Correlation: Pearson's R= .35. Multiple regression: "within the Old World, root crops predict higher female agricultural participation; in the New World and Pacific, tree crops predict lower female participation (p.577)".
