By Byrne, Bryan

Hypothesis

Because potters rely on their craft for subsistence rather than relying on agriculture, horticulture, pastoralism, hunting, or fishing, the odds that potters are exclusively or predominantly female will decrease (235)

Note

The odds that potters are predominantly female decrease from 95.2 to 74.7 and finally to 30.1 as access to food production resources enjoyed by their nuclear families decreases (237-238).
