Hypothesis

The salience of color categories in folk tales is positively associated with the evolutionary sequence proposed by Berlin and Kay (1969) (233).

Note

The correlations between the Berlin and Kay (1969) sequence and the data from the separate folk tale collections range from a low of 0.45 (rho) to a high of 0.96 (p. 241)
