A phylogenetic analysis of dispersal norms, descent and subsistence in Sino-Tibetans

Evolution and Human Behavior Vol/Iss. 43(2) Elsevier Amsterdam Published In Pages: 147-154

Hypothesis

Adoption of agriculture will be correlated with sex dispersal norms across the Sino-Tibetan phylogeny.

Note

Supported for one model of female dispersal norms. Results were significant for the disperse/non-disperse model (log Bayes Factor = 3.86). Log Bayes Factor was not significant for male dispersal norms or for the female stay/non-stay model.
