Patricia L. Andreucci (August 23, 1947 – May 20, 2024)

Human Relations Area Files celebrates the life and legacy of Patricia Andreucci, HRAF Coordinator and a long-serving employee. Trish dedicated over 30 to the success of HRAF. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony, who also worked at HRAF as a caretaker. Trish is survived by her cat, Sir Jeffery Collins.

Trish worked for 25 years at First New Haven National Bank. She joined HRAF in 1991 as a volunteer to pursue a long-standing ambition to study the cultures of the world, past and present. During her early years at HRAF, she attended Albertus Magnus College, from which she earned a B.A. in Humanities in 1995.

As HRAF Coordinator, Trish oversaw the production of the eHRAF World Cultures and eHRAF Archaeology databases, and served as the managing editor of the journal, Cross-Cultural Research. She participated in field trips to Puerto Rico, Burkina Faso, and Native American communities in the American Southwest. She also served as an archaeological assistant at site excavations on Block Island, Rhode Island, and at the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation in Ledyard, Connecticut.

In her free time, Trish explored old cemeteries and published articles for AGS Quarterly, the bulletin of the Association for Gravestone Studies. Trish enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her family which included nieces, great nieces, and great nephews. She especially enjoyed family vacations to Disney World. Trish volunteered with West Haven Emergency Assistance Taskforce (W.H.E.A.T.), a nonprofit organization providing food, personal care items, advocacy, and support to those suffering from food insecurity. She was also a member of the Lions Club and the Civil War Roundtable of South-Central Connecticut, where she served as the Director of Publicity.

HRAF staff members remember Trish fondly as an extraordinarily kind, warm, and generous person. She is deeply missed.
