Institutions may need to provide HRAF with a proxy IP address in order to access eHRAF remotely via OpenAthens. If OpenAthens has not provided you with a proxy IP, you will need to contact them directly to obtain one by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You will also need to request that OpenAnthens whitelists the URLs for our databases, as follows:
eHRAF World Cultures:
eHRAF World Cultures (legacy):
Then, please provide the proxy IP from OpenAthens to us at email@example.com so that we can enable access in our system.
Once OpenAthens associates the URLs for the database with your institution’s account, and once we have confirmed the OpenAthens proxy IP address in our system, you will be able to access the database remotely through the proxy address.
