Attending this week’s Society for American Archaeology (SAA) annual meeting in Orlando, Florida? In addition to the meetings, talks, and poster sessions, I hope you find time to stop by our booth #404 to find out about the new features and services, or get on-site research and teaching support for HRAF’s award-winning online ethnographic and archaeological databases.
The eHRAF World Cultures and/or eHRAF Archaeology databases are usually available at the library online portal at a HRAF member institution. Click here to find out whether your institution is a member of HRAF.
Once in the eHRAF databases and searching the ethnographic and/or archaeological documents, you’ll find our latest improvements in the document results pages– buttons for permalinks and bibliographic citations in MLA, APA, Chicago, Harvard, and EndNote formats.
If you are not attending the SAA meeting or have time to stop by our booth, please note that beginning today we are offering weekly live and interactive online sessions with overviews of our eHRAF World Cultures & Archaeology databases followed by question and answer sessions (Q & A). Click here for more information about the weekly eHRAF info sessions.
Apropos SAA and archaeology, it was the MA from the University of Wyoming that landed me my job at HRAF many years ago and to this day I use what I’ve learned in UW’s archaeology field school and in the anthropology classes. This should make for good knowledge base to answer questions you may have about using eHRAF for teaching and research. If you are not going the meeting or don’t have time to stop by our booth, you can also meet with me online in one of our weekly online eHRAF training session. This online support is new a weekly service, with the first session starting today at 3 p.m. (EDT). Click here to find out more.
Hope to meet you in person at the SAA or online!
