Register Today for an eHRAF Workshop

Please join us for one of our upcoming workshops will provide an informative overview to teaching and conducting research using the eHRAF databases:

These workshops are designed for faculty members and librarians at colleges that have membership with the eHRAF databases or are interested in learning more about membership.

The Human Relations Area Files at Yale University has developed resources to support teaching, learning, and research across the social sciences and beyond. We will explore Teaching eHRAF, our collection of ready-to-use exercises and syllabi that make it easier to integrate eHRAF into classrooms and curricula. These materials are designed to help instructors engage students with cross-cultural comparison, ethnographic case studies, and hands-on data analysis. We will also demonstrate the eHRAF Workbooks for introductory courses in cultural anthropology and archaeology with activities to engage students.

While anthropologists and social scientists are the most frequent users of eHRAF, the databases also provide unique insights and practical applications for a wide range of fields, including:

  • Healthcare Providers seeking cultural perspectives on patient care
  • Social Workers working with diverse communities
  • Human Resources and Management professionals navigating workplace diversity
  • Market Researchers studying consumer behavior across cultures
  • Librarians and Museum Curators supporting multidisciplinary teaching and exhibits
  • Anthropologists advancing cross-cultural research

We hope you will continue to explore the many ways eHRAF can enhance your teaching and research. Please join us for one of our upcoming workshops this fall. Registration is required.
